"We first learned about the Little Carpenters playgroup through the preschool at St. Joe's. My two-year-old daughter and I jumped at the opportunity to meet new families and take part in an activity at the parish. I loved that there was a program starting for younger children and their parents.

We did not know what to expect when we showed up the first day, but we were happy to see a large group of children and adults had also come to see what this was all about. The playgroup began and ended each session with a children's prayer, and there was always a Bible verse that pertained to that week's theme. The activities were an age-appropriate mix of art, music, movement, and storytime. My daughter was engaged and interested in all of the different activities. She could not wait to go back each week to see what they would be doing next.

As my daughter became more comfortable with the playgroup she also became more familiar with the school, and now yells, “There's my Little Carpenters!” when we drive past the building. The best part of attending Little Carpenters is that we both recognize more familiar faces in church and around town, and that helps us feel more connected to the church community."
